Consolidated Insurance Brokers Limited was formed in 1959 by the merger of three successful offices in Toronto. The new combined brokerage was commercially orientated with a significant book of high value homeowners. Today, several of those original clients both commercial and personal are still a strong part of the Consolidated family of clients.
While the brokerage is now encouraging and developing its third generation of producers many of our Insurance clients are fourth and fifth generation clients, something we are proud to have achieved.

Our founding partners always had a very strong belief in the importance of service to the client. We continue to make this a priority.

Like the founding partners, we ensure that our clients understand what they are purchasing. Our responsibility as brokers only begins when we write the contract.
Advocating for our clients
Our real worth is always being available for the client and being there when a situation arises which requires our ongoing professionalism (such as having a dispute with an insurance claim). We have always defined ourselves as “hands on brokers.”
Community commitment – insurance and local
Consolidated Insurance Brokers has been committed both to the insurance community and to our local community.
Two of our founding partners became members and presidents of the Toronto Metropolitan Insurance Agents Association, a precursor of Insurance Brokers of Toronto Region (IBTR). Our second generation partners have continued this tradition with another two becoming IBTR Presidents.
Our wall of fame proudly displays the plaques of their achievements along with an Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) Past President’s award. Diane Wigley was the first female president of IBAO in 1996-7.
